Shipping
Do you ship outside of the US?
Yes, we do ship worldwide. International and/or expedited shipping must be covered by the customer and is calculated at checkout.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer free standard shipping on all US orders, excluding a select few of our made-to-order accessories. International and/or expedited shipping costs are calculated at checkout. The amount charged is calculated based on the size of the shipment and typically ranges from $30 to $50 plus actual duties and taxes.
Please note that expedited and international (outside the US) shipping costs are non-refundable.
When will my order ship?
Your order will ship within 1-3 weeks. Each piece from Emily Westenberger the Label is handmade to order, meaning there is no stock. Once you place your order, we make it from scratch. If you would like your order expedited, please email info@emilywestenberger.com, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
How do I track my order?
You will be updated via email with tracking info once your item has been made and sent. Please note that it can take up to 4 hours for tracking information to load online.
Returns and Exchanges
What is your return policy?
As Emily Westenberger the Label operates on a made-to-order business model, we cannot offer a return or refund if you change your mind or if the item(s) does not fit. Each piece is carefully crafted and handmade once your order has been placed. Please be considerate when placing your order by visiting the size guide to make sure you match yourself to the correct sizing, as a lot of time and care goes into making each piece.
If unsure of your sizing, please visit our size guide and email info@emilywestenberger.com with any questions or concerns. You may also leave your measurements and/or comments/concerns in the notes at checkout.
If you are unhappy with your purchase, we offer alterations at an additional cost. Please email info@emilywestenberger.com within 7 days of delivery, and we will provide a return address.
For returns and alterations, it will be the customer’s responsibility to safely return items back to the studio with a trusted tracked service. This cost must be covered by you, as it is not worked into the price of the garments. Please email info@emilywestenberger.com if you would like your order altered.
Expedited and international (outside the US) shipping costs are non-refundable.
Garment Production and Sizing
How do you make your garments?
All items are completely designed and handmade to order from scratch by Emily & her team. Emily starts a collection by making a style from a paper pattern and/or draping fabric on a dress form. She then makes a test fit garment from the new pattern and continues making adjustments from there to perfect the fit.
Once a design is finalized, and you place your order, Emily uses a copy of the standardized pattern and adjusts it to your size selection or custom measurements if requested. Emily & her team then cut the fabric from your own personalized pattern, sew the garment, package it, and ship it off to you!
How do I know my size?
For guidance on sizing, please visit the size guide page. The size guide page provides information on measurements for each size and instructions for taking your own measurements. Each product page also includes size and fit notes in the description to help guide you.

What if I don't fit into the standard size guide?
If the standard sizing guide doesn’t quite fit for you, I offer custom measurements at no extra cost.
Custom and Special Orders
What customizations do you offer?
We offer three ways to customize your order: customized measurements for garments from the collection, customized style details for garments from the collection, and fully bespoke orders.
How can I place my order from the collection with custom measurements?
Select 'Custom Size' on the product page for your size selection, add the item to your cart, and enter your measurements in the notes at checkout. You can also email your measurements to info@emilywestenberger.com.
How much does it cost to customize measurements for a style?
We offer customized measurements at no extra charge.
How can I customize a style from the collection?
Please email info@emilywestenberger.com with your request(s) so that we can verify we can accommodate the customizations you'd like before you place your order.
Do customized styles cost extra?
Not all customizations will incur extra costs. Please email info@emilywestenberger.com, and we will work with your request(s) and budget to give you more information on costs.
How do fully bespoke orders work?
To start the process of creating your own fully bespoke garment(s), please purchase the initial 30 minute consultation with Emily. You will discuss details like budget, style, and fabric during the consultation.
If you choose to move forward with a custom design, the consultation fee of $30 will go towards the cost of your garment(s). Emily will then put together sketches of style options & pricing for your approval. Once you decide on your style, you will submit your 50% deposit.
Upon receipt of your deposit, Emily will source and send you fabric swatches and trims for your approval. Next, she will create a sample of your style in cotton fabric, so you can try it on, and she can perfect the fit before she cuts into your fabric and sews the final product. Depending on the garment, this process takes around 3-5 iterations of the style in cotton to finalize the fit.
Once Emily has your approved materials and finalized style, Emily will reach out to you for approval before cutting and sewing the final product.
The remaining 50% cost of your garment is due upon completion of the garment and before we ship the it to you. Emily will send images of the finished design before shipping.
How much do bespoke orders cost?
The cost varies depending on style, fabric, timeline, etc. Emily will work with you and your own unique needs and budget during the initial consultation.
